Need for Speed™ No Limits Latest Guide: New Cars, Events, Blueprints and Progression Tips

I’ve been playing Need for Speed™ No Limits long enough to know that having a fast car is only part of the game. The bigger challenge is knowing which events are worth prioritizing, when to spend materials, and how to build a garage that can actually handle the next set of races.

The September 2026 content gives players quite a few things to work through. The biggest addition is the new Convergence special event featuring the 2019 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, while the game is also rotating Crew Trials, Flashback events, Underground Rivals and anniversary rewards.

For me, the most useful way to approach the current version is not to chase every new car at once. The better strategy is to build around events, save resources for cars that matter, and use free opportunities to strengthen the garage.

The New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ Event

The main attraction right now is Convergence, a seven-day special event centered around the 2019 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. The car belongs to the Hyper class, and its maximum PR reaches 1243 at eight stars. Its listed top stats are 13,276 Speed, 13,276 Acceleration and 11,948 Nitro.

That immediately makes the Chiron an interesting car for players who are still building their Hyper garage.

What I pay attention to with these special events is not just the final PR number. The real value is getting the event car without having to build it from scratch through normal blueprint farming. Special events are one of the best opportunities to add high-end cars to a garage, but they also punish inefficient resource management.

I try to avoid spending everything early in the event. Credits, upgrade materials and race attempts become much more important toward the later stages, especially when PR requirements start increasing.

The Chiron event is scheduled to run through September 21, 2026, according to EA's current event schedule.

A Free Mazda MX-5 Is Also Available

The September update isn't only about expensive-looking Hyper cars.

EA is giving players a 2015 Mazda MX-5 for free through the store, starting September 6. It is a Sports-class car with a maximum PR of 657 at eight stars.

This is the kind of reward I don't like overlooking.

A free car may not look impressive compared with the Chiron, but Sports-class cars can still be useful when an event, campaign race or Underground Rivals restriction calls for that class. Collecting cars also gives more flexibility when the game rotates requirements.

There is also a new 2008 Ford Crown Victoria available through Crew Crates. It belongs to the Street class and can reach 584 PR at five stars.

So even if the current headline is the Bugatti, the September update is actually giving players several different ways to expand the garage.

How I Manage Cars and Upgrades

One mistake I see players make in games like No Limits is upgrading whatever car happens to be in front of them.

I prefer to upgrade with a purpose.

For campaign progression, I focus on the cars that are actually required for upcoming races. There is little value in pouring rare materials into a car that is unlikely to be used again soon.

Special-event cars are different. When I enter an event for a new car, I treat the event itself as the priority rather than my normal garage. The goal is to keep the event car competitive while preserving enough credits and materials to deal with the later races.

Blueprints are especially important.

I don't treat every blueprint as something that has to be immediately converted into a star upgrade. A car can be useful without being maxed, and spending resources simply because an upgrade is available can leave the garage short of materials later.

Replay Races are another important part of the current game loop. The September schedule includes cars such as the Pagani Utopia, Audi R8 LMS GT2, Lotus Exige S, Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400, BMW M3 G80 and others across the upcoming rotation.

When a replay race offers blueprints for a car I actually use, I consider those races much more valuable than random grinding.

Underground Rivals: Build Around the Restrictions

Underground Rivals is another area where having one extremely powerful car isn't enough.

The September schedule rotates different cars across Driver, Speedster and Breakneck categories. The current Jetstream season began August 31, while Limit Break begins September 7. Later seasons include Undertow on September 14 and Grid Lock on September 21.

That makes garage depth more important.

For the September 7 Limit Break rotation, EA lists cars including the Lotus Exige S, Honda NSX 1991, Mazda RX8 Spirit R 2011, BMW M3 E36, Ford Mustang MK1, Volkswagen Golf GTI, Subaru BRZ and Honda CR-X SiR in the Driver category. The Speedster group includes the Audi R8 LMS GT2, Porsche Panamera Turbo 2017 and Ford Mustang 1965 Hoonicorn, while the Breakneck group includes the Pagani Utopia and Mazda MX-5 ND.

This is why I wouldn't spend all my resources on a single class.

A balanced garage gives much more freedom when Underground Rivals changes its requirements.

Flashback Events Are Worth Watching

The September update also brings several Flashback events.

From September 14, players can access events including Proving Grounds for the 2024 Audi RS 6 Avant GT, XRC for the Pagani Huayra R, Bravo CT5 V Blackwing and Takeover for the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evolution II.

Another Flashback rotation starts September 20 with Anniversary 30, Ronin, Crew Trials featuring the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo and Fastlane RSR featuring the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR.

This is particularly useful for players who missed older special events.

I wouldn't automatically chase every Flashback car, though. The better approach is to look at which cars can fill a weakness in the garage. A car that completes a missing class or helps with an upcoming Underground Rivals restriction can be much more useful than another car that simply looks good in the garage.

My Current Progression Priority

For the current September content, my priority would be fairly simple.

First, I would make sure the free Mazda MX-5 is claimed when it becomes available. There is no reason to leave a free Sports-class car sitting in the store.

Next, I would focus on the Convergence event and work toward the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. It is the most significant new car in the current update, and the event gives a direct path toward adding it to the garage.

After that, I would look at Underground Rivals requirements and only then decide where additional upgrade materials should go.

For older cars, Replay Races are the natural place to spend daily race opportunities when the available blueprint matches a car that I actually need.

And when Flashback events arrive, I would treat them as catch-up opportunities rather than mandatory content.

The Biggest Resource Mistake to Avoid

The resource I try hardest not to waste is not necessarily cash.

It's upgrade materials.

Credits can be earned again, and blueprints can often be farmed through repeatable activities. Rare parts and materials can become a much bigger bottleneck when several cars suddenly need upgrading for different events.

That's why I prefer to keep a few cars at a useful competitive level rather than fully upgrading everything.

The current No Limits schedule makes this even more important because the game is moving between special events, Flashbacks and Underground Rivals requirements throughout September.

For me, the best garage isn't the one with the highest number of maxed-out cars. It's the one that has enough useful cars across different classes to avoid getting stuck when the next event changes the requirements.

Final Thoughts

The September 2026 update gives Need for Speed™ No Limits a pretty busy rotation.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is the obvious headline, but the free Mazda MX-5, new Porsche Cayman S #10, Ford Crown Victoria, upcoming Flashbacks and Underground Rivals rotations are just as important for long-term garage progression.

What stands out to me is that the current content rewards players who plan ahead rather than simply upgrading the fastest car they own.

I would keep the Chiron event as the main target, collect the free Mazda, watch the Underground Rivals restrictions, and save valuable materials for cars that are actually going to see race time.

That approach makes the current Need for Speed No Limits rotation much easier to manage, especially for players who are still building their garage rather than already owning every major event car.
